St. David’s School, Gloucestershire benefits from an extensive suite of measures on behalf of the Department for Education.

Working in conjunction with the Main Contractor and Synergy LLP Construction and Property Consultants, we have successfully installed and commissioned a holistic suite of Property Flood Resilience measures.

The School now benefits from increased flood resilience in the form of 7no. Automatic Self-Closing Flood Barriers and 18no. Lakeside Demountable Aluminium Flood Barriers to openings across the site.

In relation to the demountable barriers, bespoke cover plates with hazard strips were provided to the permanent side posts to mitigate health and safety risk for the children on site. Storage racking solutions were also mounted adjacent to each barrier and doorway, with clear part itemisation to ensure ease of deployment.

We are pleased to have developed a strong working relationship with all parties involved in this significant project, including the School, with the aim to ensure enhanced flood resilience against future storm events and prevent any further detrimental impact to the school and community as seen during prevoius flood events.
